December 2011

The Christmas Fayre was a great success raising just over £630!  Thanks to everyone who helped out with the planning, setting up, running stalls and clearing up afterwards.  We are very grateful for your all your support.

The total raised this term from Cake Friday, Autumn Activity Sheets, Christmas Cards, and selling refreshments at the Fashion Show and Christmas productions is a fantastic £870.

Date for your diary – the next Cake Friday is on 13th January, with Year 3 baking and selling.

Thanks for all your support and Happy Christmas from the School Association.

Autumn 2011

It’s been a busy autumn term for the School Association, organising the Christmas Cards, the half-term Autumn Activity Sheets and launching Cake Friday.  The first Cake Friday took place on 4 November with Year 1 providing cakes to sell to the rest of the school.  There were some delicious donations by Year 1 – thanks to all children and parents who contributed something.  In spite of the weather, we managed to set up the stall outside the main school doors and sold out in about 15 minutes – making £65.15.  FANTASTIC!  Next Cake Friday is on 13 January and it’s Year 3’s turn.

The School Association will be selling refreshments after the Christmas Productions on 7 and 8 December.  The Christmas Fayre is taking place on Friday 9 December, starting at 2.30.

Thanks, as always, to staff, parents and children for your continued support.

EASTER 2011

The Family Bingo evening on 6 April raised £120 – it was a great success and there have been requests to organise another one.

Everyone had lots of fun taking part in the Easter events which raised just over £250.   The children all looked great in their ‘Alternative Easter Bonnets’.   Needless to say, the Easter Egg Tombola was a sell out!

Thanks to everyone who supported the recent events.

FEBRUARY 2011

Whitnash Primary School Christmas Fayre 2010 was a great success - we raised just over £600!  Thank you for supporting the event and thanks to all who donated cakes and biscuits which were enjoyed at the Christmas Fayre as well as at both performances of ‘The Hopeless Camel’.   All the money raised at these events is to be used for the benefit of our children.

How will the money be spent?  It is going to go towards some fantastic outdoor play equipment.  The project is in the early planning stages.  We will keep you updated.

Many thanks
Whitnash Primary School Association
